mason jar gift for coworkers- flower bulbs

Mother Nature gave us flower bulbs to give us hope for the future, which is something all of us could use more of these days.

Give hope to your coworkers, family, friends or neighbors with these flower bulb starter kits gifted in a mason Jar. They’re quick and easy to make and offer the promise of beauty right around corner.

This project is quick and easy, directions are below. Check out our complete list of the best mason jar gift ideas for coworkers, teachers & neighbors.

How to Make a Flower Bulb Starter Gift in a Jar

You’ll need the following:

  • Mason jar
  • Potting Soil
  • Small white rocks
  • A bulb, such as paperwhites, amaryllis, tulips, daffodils or hyacinth (make sure it’s pre-chilled)

First, put a layer of rocks in the jar to promote drainage, then fill the jar about two-thirds up with soil. Plant your bulb and you’re done. Just be sure to place it in a sunny spot and don’t forget to water.

Decorating Your Mason Jar

Instead of paper or a gift bag, add an extra gift to your flower bulb starter by wrapping it with a Silicone Mason Jar Sleeve. JarJackets are made with Silicone which naturally insulates and protects your jars, so they're perfect for taking smoothies, coffee or even lunch to work. Plus, they’re dishwasher and microwave safe and made of earth-friendly materials.
