This time of year my garden is overflowing and I have more tomatoes than I know what to do with. I'm always looking for quick and easy recipes I can make in a pinch. This one fits the bill.
Headed to the beach or the pool? Here's a great way to use up some of those abundant tomatoes and, let's face it, is there really any substitute for freshly made salsa? Trust me, once you realize how easy it is to make delicious salsa directly in the jar you'll never go back to store-bought.
Try out different fresh ingredients (whatever you have on hand) and see what you like. Other great additions might be garlic, lime, or chili powder.
Vamos de fiesta!

To reduce waste, you have to have a well-planned strategy — and it starts with taking a long, hard look at what you actually need.
